Fox Den New Build

Building a home is every man's dream! Not all of them get to achieve that, but this client of ours did! He got to be the contractor of his own home, and he used our specifications and drawings as his bible to build the house.  Not all clients are no fuss and trouble, but this husband and wife team were fabulous to work with and really let us lead the project.

This week we will walk you through the kitchen & entry area of this stunning home on the mountain side of North Salt Lake.

After we completed the specifications for all the homes finishes and the detail drawings, we went to work on creating the finishing touches of furniture and other pieces to make the home useful and cozy.  The palette is overall neutral with lots of texture and subtle pattern with black and gold touches all around.  We'll show you more of the great room next time!

Our clients wanted to create a gathering place for their growing family....a place where their children and grand-kids can gather comfortably and feel cozy at home!

The clients were going for a classic feeling but wanted hints of glam. To incorporate delicate elements in the home, we opted for a timeless selection of white cabinets.

The dark stain was chosen for the island base to make it more classic, and added the hint of glam by using lighter counter-tops.   Behind the double ovens is a walk-in pantry.  This one is a modified version of one we often do with Blair Fredrickson of Landform Design (fondly referred to as "Blantry" named after Blair) who drew up the amazing plans for this home.  This space allows for a secondary area for prep, storage and messes out of site of the main living areas.  Love that!

Timeless lights accent the gorgeous herringbone backsplash.  We used this twist on a traditional subway tile to make the space more unique and lively, without sacrificing the classic look.

We really enjoyed being part of this project and work together with our client to execute this beautiful home for him and his family! As always, remember to love where you LIV!
