What is Liv by Atmosphere ID?

We were so excited (and more than a little nervous) to announce that we were opening a showroom over on our old blog, but we didn't go into much detail about we are hoping to create. Why Liv by Atmosphere ID?  In the past few years we've noticed a growing interest in what we refer to as "creative living."  You can definitely see this growth in the amount of blogs dedicated to the home, crafts, interior design etc.  We are delighted to see that more people are becoming more aware of their surroundings and how their environment impact their lives. We are passionate about  living the lifestyle you want to live.  That could mean a living in a well designed space, using organic products, focusing on locally made products, bringing fresh flowers into your home...  We wanted to create a place that fosters that idea.

At Liv by Atmosphere ID we will be featuring some of our favorite furniture and home decor lines, but because we realize that most people design their homes around family heirlooms, hand-me-downs, or on a tight budget, we wanted our showroom to be designed the way people actually live.  We are including consignment pieces, vintage pieces, and refurbished pieces mixed in with the new merchandise to create a layered and comfortable environment.

We are also very excited to represent a few local artisans.  We will be featuring handmade jewelry, soaps, headbands, and hair clips.  We will be highlighting those artisans in posts to come.  Also, because we feel that no interior is complete without florals, we will be offering both fresh and permanent (aka fake) botanicals.

We definitely have not forgotten our primary focus: interior design.  A large portion of our space is dedicated to our design center.  We have thousands of samples to play with and love to spend all day working on finishes for new homes or pulling schemes together for bedding, window treatments etc.  We are also going to remain focused on keeping design services attainable.  We feel that interior design should be available to people in all price ranges.  We don't agree that interior designers are a luxury that only the wealthy can afford.  We will continue to focus on ways to keep our design packages affordable.

We are so excited about this new phase in our company and can't wait to open our doors and start making connections with people who love to live creatively too.  Construction is moving along nicely on the building and our orders have been placed.  We are working toward a store preview the first week of November.  Please check back often to see how the construction progresses and get a sneak peek at the some of the goodies that we will be offering.
