Project in Progress: Modern Farmhouse Stunner

The Modern Farmhouse by Liv sits on the border of Highland & Alpine in Utah and has been a favorite project from the start!  We've designed this home from the dirt and have loved the fun, slightly edgy aesthetic of the client.  The clients are super cool- and their colorful home is going to showcase their personality perfectly.

Since we've been talking about lighting this month, we thought it would be fitting to share the lighting selections for almost every room of this estate home.  And- the lights are just about to be installed (yay!) so we can share those updates soon!  Lighting install is just about my favorite phase (next to the end of course).  The house really comes to life with the style and physical light the fixtures bring.

Are you loving the mix of finishes?!  The variety of gold, black, and silver tones are right on trend and don't allow one finish to overwhelm.  One of the biggest design flaws we've been seeing and it was abundant at the parade was the overload of gold lighting.  Gold is certainly a favorite of ours, but it can get very intense in lighting since the scale is so large and at eye level.  So in this home we chose to tone it down and mix the finishes.  Mixing finishes actually makes a home feel more high end.

And here are a few more picture updates of the home.   We are anxiously awaiting the finishing touches.

Seriously.  This room couldn't be any cuter.  Can you see a hint of what is to be revealed under the protective covering on the floor.  This room is colorful and cute.  What a delight to work in this space!

And the entry is coming right along.  Paint is going on now and going to transform the front of this home with some deep hues.  We love the doors and the transom detail we added to the living room.

The blush couldn't be cuter and the herringbone tile is amazing in this girls bath.  And what girl wouldn't love these knobs.

This is only a small corner of the kitchen, but it's a hint of what is to come in this pretty double-island kitchen.
