PHEASANT WAY

Creating a large and efficient kitchen in this existing home for a family of six presented quite a challenge. Liv Showroom + Design was hired after several other designers had attempted - and failed - to produce a functional design worthy of a large family and lifestyle.

In order to maximize space, we looked beyond the existing footprint of the kitchen and helped the homeowners add space from an adjacent, unused guest room. Adjoining the two rooms allowed for a wall of windows to become a key design feature above a row of base cabinets. Because the size of the kitchen had been increased substantially, the upper cabinets have never been missed.

The make the new kitchen feel cohesive, we painted the cabinets and ceiling the same shade of white. A white subway tile backsplash, installed to the ceiling, further completes the look. Grounding the entire space, a sultry porcelain tile designed to mimic limestone adds warmth while brining in an element of nature.
