Now it’s time to face what you’ve been dreading, the hardware – eek! Hardware is often on the bottom of the priority list, perhaps it’s even been stressing you out — but we’re here to help! The Liv team can help alleviate some of that stress so we’re sharing our best tips and tricks for hardware.
Let’s look at it this way — hardware is the jewelry of the bathroom. Even though it is a small detail, it can dictate the personality and style of your space. It truly is the final touch that transforms your bathroom from ordinary to extraordinary. Be creative and don’t be afraid to add your own personal flair to it. If it makes it any easier to make your decision, remember that hardware is easily interchangeable! In a few years you can change the whole vibe of the room simply by switching out the hardware without having to remodel the whole bathroom.
Our design team loves to mix and match different metals and fixtures. We love this simple trick because it adds depth without making the room feel off-kilter. If you are looking for a modern look, black is always a great place to start, and adding some shiny or brushed gold accentuates that stylish vibe even further. On the flip side, If you’re going for a more elegant and relaxed feel, you’ll want to avoid the black and embrace something like polished nickel with gold. When it comes to mixing finishes, the mirror is the perfect spot to play around with. Try using acrylic, gold, or wood for more depth and texture.
Another great way to add your own unique flair and character is through the light fixture you choose. There are lots of options to come when it comes to light fixtures so find something that makes you smile and brings you joy. Remember, you want it to add, not distract, from the tone of the room.
